Hi, I’m Tristin. I make complicated things clear.
I’m the founder of Inventio Learning Designs, a learning strategy consultancy for organizations that are tired of training that doesn’t change anything. I spent 12 years as a science educator and worked in medical research before moving into learning design, which means I’ve spent my entire career doing one thing in different costumes: taking complex ideas and making them make sense.
Why I work this way
Here’s what teaching science for over a decade drills into you: when someone doesn’t learn, the reason is almost never that they’re incapable. It’s that the material was unclear, the timing was wrong, or the whole approach ignored how brains actually take in information. People don’t fail to learn. Learning experiences fail people.
I watched the same thing happen in the corporate world, with more expensive consequences: organizations building course after course aimed at problems nobody had diagnosed, measuring completions because outcomes were too uncomfortable to look at, and treating ‘engagement’ as the finish line instead of the starting condition. Inventio exists because I believe organizations deserve better, and because the fix isn’t mysterious. It’s clarity, evidence, and the discipline to solve the right problem first.

A few human details
When I’m not untangling learning programs, I’m usually deep in a design rabbit hole, defending my opinions about fonts, or explaining to my wife why our house needs another bookshelf. I believe every complicated thing has a simple explanation waiting to be found, and I have never once met a perfect storyboard. If you have one, please don’t tell me. I’ll get jealous.
